TallyPrime allows you to delete a company if it’s no longer needed. However, deleting a company permanently removes its data from your system, so proceed with caution. This guide explains how to delete a company in TallyPrime step by step.
Ensure you are on the Gateway of Tally screen.
Step 1- Press F3 (Company) on your keyboard or click on the Company option at the top of the screen.
Step 2- From the dropdown menu, select Alter.
Step 3- Choose the Company to Delete
- A list of all created companies will appear on the screen.
- Use the arrow keys to navigate to the company you wish to delete and press Enter.
Ste 4-Â Open the Company Alteration Screen
- Once the company is selected, the Company Alteration screen will open.
- Verify the company details to ensure you are deleting the correct company.
Delete the Company
- On the Company Alteration screen, press Alt + D on your keyboard.
Step 5-Â A confirmation prompt will appear asking, “Delete ?”
Confirm the Deletion
- Press Y (Yes) to confirm the deletion.
Step 6- A confirmation prompt will appear asking, “Are you sure you want to delete the company?”
Confirm the Deletion
- Press Y (Yes) to confirm the deletion.
The company will be permanently deleted from TallyPrime.
